2026 Continuing Education Approvals

NATIONAL BOARD FOR CERTIFIED COUNSELORS (NBCC)

• The 2026 Lowcountry Mental Health Conference has been approved by NBCC for NBCC credit. Sessions approved for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Mental Health HEROES is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. NBCC Approval No. SP-5319.
• All sessions EXCEPT July 30, David Kessler “Traumatic Grief: Releasing Pain and Finding Meaning” at 10:15am and Shi Heng Yi Q&A at 11:45am have been approved.
• You may earn up to 13 NBCC credit hours! Up to 13 hours in-person and up to 11 hours virtual.
• Most states recognize NBCC approval so check your Social Work., LMFT, and LPC licensing boards as this approval will most likely be honored by your state licensing board for many licensed mental health professionals!

• In-Person Attendance: Approved for the entire in-person activity. Individual attendees are approved for a maximum of 14.25 Contact Hours.
• Virtual Attendance:  Approved for the entire virtual activity. Individual attendees are approved for a maximum of 12.25 Contact Hours.
• Approved by the SC Office of Mental Health Office of Education, Training, and Research in collaboration with the South Carolina Labor, Licensing and Regulation Review Board (SC-LLR).

• In-Person Attendance: Approved for the entire in-person activity. Individual attendees are approved for a maximum of 14.25 Contact Hours.
• Virtual Attendance:  Approved for the entire virtual activity. Individual attendees are approved for a maximum of 12.25 Contact Hours.

PSYCHOLOGISTS (PhD, PsyD)

• The Medical University of South Carolina’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences’ Office of Continuing Education is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Medical University of South Carolina’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences’ Office of Continuing Education maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
