    SOUTH CAROLINA – DMH EVALUATION, TRAINING, & RESEARCH DEPARTMENT: Approved through the South Carolina Labor & Licensing Review Board

THE NATIONAL BOARD FOR CERTIFIED COUNSELORS (NBCC) – 12.5 hours approved

  • NBCC Approval Number: SP-2844* (David Whyte’s sessions are not counted)
  • NBCC approval is recognized by most Counseling & MFT boards across the United States. In addition, many states recognize NBCC approval for Social Workers. Please check with your licensing board to be certain of approval or ask us and we will help.

CREDIT DESIGNATION
The Medical University of South Carolina designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ACCREDITATION
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Medical University of South Carolina and South Carolina Department of Mental Health. The Medical University of South Carolina is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

PSYCHOLOGISTS – 15 Category A Hours in SC

  • Our approval through the SC LLR via SC-DMH for Counselors, MFTs & Social Workers along with our approval for CME credits through MUSC will mean that Psychologists in SC can obtain Category A hours. In addition, your state psychology boards may recognize our CME and/or NBCC designation. We recommend you check with your state board as you may find we are recognized by several states.

  • LPCAGA approves workshops according to current Georgia Composite Board rules.

TEACHERS

  • South Carolina Teachers require 120 continuing education credits every five years.
  • We are submitting our application to each SC school district’s renewal coordinator for 15 renewal credits.
  • Abbeville: The district allows teachers, counselors, etc. to use on an hour by hour basis for professional development with prior approval of their supervisor/principal.
  • Anderson 5: Approved! Require a Certificate of Completion as documentation.
  • Berkeley: Approved! See link for specific info needed. (REQUs)
  • Charleston:
  • Approved! Must provide certificate of attendance following the conference.

  • Chesterfield: Approved! Educators must send an option form requesting pre-approval and then must submit documentation such as a certificate of attendance.
  • Colleton: Approved!
  • Dorchester District 2: Approved for renewal credits!
  • Dillon 4: Approved! Every hour of seat time during the conference will equal 1 hour of content renewal.
  • Kershaw: Approved! Bring back certificate as confirmation.
  • Newberry: Approved!
  • Orangeburg 5: Approved!
  • SC Public Charter: Approved!
  • Spartanburg 2: Approved!
  • Spartanburg 5: Approved! Bring back certificate as confirmation.
  • York 2 (Clover): Approved! Teachers are able to submit requests for hours from events outside our district through an online transcript service. A certificate of completion will allow them to complete this process.
  • Please Note: If your district is not on this list chances are still very high they will be getting back to us to approve the training. In addition, many will recognize the training because other districts have approved.
